Who We Are

The Robert E. Asker Scottish Rite Speech Therapy Center for Children is a Scottish Rite of Freemasonry charity. Our mission is to diagnose communication challenges of preschool and early elementary children and to help them develop speech and language skills.

The Center is one of more than 178 Scottish Rite speech and language centers throughout the United States. Services are provided free of charge in Bismarck. Masonic affiliation is not required.

Established in 1992, the Robert E. Asker Scottish Rite Speech Therapy Center for Children is housed in the west wing of the Bismarck Masonic Center at 1009 Basin Avenue. The Center serves children residing within a 50 mile radius of the Bismarck-Mandan area.

Individual 30 minute therapy sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis. Intervention is on-going, year-round, and individually designed to meet a child's needs.  Summer sessions are offered.

The Center serves as a training site, providing observations for university students studying the field of speech and language therapy.
